Welcome to Indianapolis!

Whether you are on a bus tour experiencing group travel in Indy or are taking a 15-minute cab ride from the airport, the second notable sight you'll encounter is your downtown hotel. Indianapolis, home of the 2014 International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo, has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal as having the nation's #1 hotel value–as well as what an Expedia® Insiders' Select™ poll recently named as the nation's best hotel.

That big, blue building? That's the striking new Marriott Place—a 1,600-room complex that offers four different hotel brands at four different price points. Those and eight more of our many downtown hotels are conveniently linked to yet another new development: the combination of Lucas Oil Stadium and the vastly expanded Indiana Convention Center (which, taken together, rank as one of the nation's largest convention facilities).

From there, it's anyone's guess as to what will catch your attention next. It might be the restaurants, ranging from Shapiro's (which USA Today called one of America's greatest delis), to Goose The Market (ranked by Bon Appetit as one of their Top 10 U.S. sandwich shops), to St. Elmo Steak House (home of the hottest meal in the world, as declared by the Travel Channel).

Our many attractions include The Children's Museum of Indianapolis—which is the largest children's museum in the world, and has been rated simply “the best” by Child magazine. The Indianapolis Zoo (located in the nation's only urban cultural state park) is ranked among the nation's top 10 zoos by TripAdvisor, and our Indianapolis Museum of Art—one of the country's 10 largest and oldest general art museums—won the 2009 National Medal for Museum and Library Services (the nation's highest honor for museums and libraries).

In the market for souvenirs? Circle Centre, a four-level urban mall anchored by Carson Pirie Scott, is a downtown landmark. On the city's north side, The Fashion Mall at Keystone presents such options as Saks Fifth Avenue and Crate & Barrel. And smaller, uniquely local shops are found within the city's various Cultural Districts.

Our many stages support thriving local music and theater scenes, while welcoming touring shows of all kinds. And in a city that built its reputation on sports both amateur and professional, you'll almost always find some sort of competition going on. As host of the world's 1st and 2nd-largest single-day sporting events (the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard 400)—and as the host of Super Bowl XLVI in 2012—we know how to show guests a good time. See you in Indianapolis, June 9-12, 2014.

Indiana Convention Center
The Indiana Convention Center is located in the heart of the 12th largest city in the U.S., Indianapolis, Indiana. The state capital, Indianapolis ranks in the top 25 most visited cities in the country, with 18 million annual visitors. Indianapolis International Airport accommodates 150 flights each day, carrying 7.4 million yearly passengers to and from the Circle City.

Now one of the largest convention centers in America, the Indiana Convention Center is connected by skywalks to more hotel rooms than any other city in the nation. Also linked to the center is a four-story urban shopping mall, surrounded by more than 200 restaurants and clubs, well-known sports venues, and a 10-block state park that features top museums, green space and a convenient canal walk. It’s the reason Sports Illustrated's Peter King calls Indianapolis "the most walkable downtown in America."

With over $3 billion in convention industry investments, no other city in the nation can match Indianapolis’ collection of upgrades and developments. We invite you to discover everything we have to offer for your next event experience.
